As it is not possible under clinical conditions to accompany a patient for several hours in everyday life, a voice stress test is used to simulate real voice stress in a shorter period of time.

New unique measurement of voice strain and quality
The new lingWAVES voice stress test checks the endurance and stress capacity of the speaking voice, providing important information about the constitution of the voice. In addition to the traditional paremeters of volume and fundamental tone, it also determines the change in voice quality audible during the test (roughness and breathiness in the form of an irregularity and noise measurement).
In everyday vocal life, overloading of the voice is audible through signs of roughness and harshness, the vocal folds no longer vibrate regularly or no longer close completely. These signs are now recorded and evaluated in real time in the lingWAVES voice stress test. In particular, these signs often appear when a high demand is followed by a normal one.
